# Websites for Irish builders that show your work, from €349

By Andrew Harkness, who runs aisites.ie and WP Care. Last reviewed 4 October 2026. Canonical: https://aisites.ie/websites-for-builders

AI Sites (aisites.ie) builds websites for Irish builders, roofers, joiners and other home trades. €349 + VAT for up to five pages, live in 48 hours, then €13 a month for hosting and updates. You see the finished site before you pay.

Mainly need a phone number and a few photos? **€249 + VAT** for one page, live in 24 hours. Hosting is €13 a month billed yearly, or €15 billed monthly, and we look after the site for you. You see the finished site before you pay. Don't like it? You don't pay.

## What will our website look like?

Past jobs sell builders, so the photos come first, and the phone number is one tap away. These two samples were built on the same system we'd use for your business. Both businesses are made up; the sites are real and you can click through them.

- **Conefrey Building**: Five-page site for a builder in Mullingar, with a gallery of past jobs. Slate and brick. Sample site; the business is fictional. [See the full sample site](https://conefrey-building-6whcv.aisites.ie/)
- **Brannock Roofing**: One-page site for a roofer in Raheny, Dublin 5. Charcoal and amber. Sample site; the business is fictional. [See the full sample site](https://brannock-roofing-n8kxa.aisites.ie/)

## Will it show my work?

Yes. Photos of finished jobs are what most people look for before they ring a builder, so they sit near the top. The photos on your phone are enough.

- **Past jobs.** A gallery of finished work, grouped by type, with the town in each caption.
- **Tap to call.** A large call button, and a call bar that stays at the bottom of the screen on phones.
- **Areas you cover.** Written out as plain text, so people can see you work near them.
- **Get a quote.** A short form where people can describe the job and attach photos. It comes straight to your email.

## What should a builder's website include?

Five pages suit most builders: home, services, past jobs, about and contact. That's the €349 site. Between them they cover:

1. **The work you do.** Extensions, renovations, attic conversions, roofing, windows and doors, kitchens, painting: whatever you take on.
2. **The areas you cover.** The towns and counties you work in, written out in full.
3. **Photos of finished jobs.** As many as you like, with a line on each.
4. **Reviews.** A few lines from real customers, if you'd like them there.
5. **Insurance and registrations.** Any registrations or memberships you hold, shown only if you give them to us.
6. **A way to get a quote.** Your phone number on a call button, and a short quote form.

If you mainly need a phone number and a few photos, the €249 one-page site does the job.

## How long does it take?

48 hours for up to five pages, or 24 hours for a one-page site. Almost none of that is your time.

1. **You send what you have.** One form: the business name, where you work and what you do. Photos from your phone and a list of the jobs you take on are plenty.
2. **We write it and build it.** We write every word and build the site. Within 48 hours you're looking at the real, finished site, not a mock-up.
3. **You check it and it goes live.** Tell us what to change (two rounds of changes are included), and it goes live on your domain when you're happy. You pay then, not before.

## How much does a website for a builder cost in Ireland?

At AI Sites, €349 + VAT for up to five pages or €249 + VAT for one page, paid once. Hosting is €156 a year, which works out at €13 a month, or €15 a month if you'd rather pay monthly. There's no contract.

For comparison, a small Irish agency typically charges €2,500 to €6,000 for a site, and a freelancer €800 to €3,000. Whoever builds it, expect another €150 to €400 a year to keep it online.

| Option | Typical price to build | Running cost |
|---|---|---|
| Small studio or agency | €2,500 to €6,000 | €150 to €400 a year |
| Freelancer | €800 to €3,000 | €150 to €400 a year |
| DIY website builder | No build fee, 20 to 40 hours of your time | €150 to €400 a year |
| Done-for-you (aisites.ie) | €249 to €349 once | €156 a year |
*Ranges from Irish agency and freelancer pricing guides published in 2026, checked September 2026. Every project is different; treat these as the shape of the market, not a quote. Our €249 to €349 is followed by €156 a year for hosting. All prices ex VAT.*

How it's this price: we build the first draft with AI, then a person goes through every line and fixes it properly. Where the market figures come from is set out in our guide to [what a website costs in Ireland](https://aisites.ie/website-cost-ireland).

## Can I add photos of new jobs myself?

Yes. Your login has a simple click-and-type editor where you can add photos of new jobs and change your own text. If you'd rather not, send the photos to us by email and we'll add them.

## Who looks after it?

We do. Hosting, security updates, backups and small changes are all included in the €13 a month. Send us an email and we make the change.

Every site we host also comes with [SolidCookie](https://www.solidcookie.com/), our own cookie-consent service, so the cookie banner is handled too. It sells on its own for €9 a month per site; for you it's part of the €13.

## Will people find us?

They should. Your town and the work you do are written into the pages in plain words, so a search like "builder in Mullingar" or "roofer near me" has something to match. The site is fast, works on phones and is built so Google can read all of it. It should start showing up in local searches within a few weeks. Nobody can promise a ranking, and we don't.

## Will customers find you when they ask an AI?

More people now ask ChatGPT or Google's AI answers for a builder near them. Those assistants tend to suggest businesses whose websites they can read and check. On your own domain, the sites we build are set up for that:

- The work you do and the areas you cover are listed in plain text that crawlers can read, not words inside images.
- Structured data marks the site as a building business (schema.org GeneralContractor or HomeAndConstructionBusiness), with your business name, phone and email.
- Your name, address, phone number and hours are written out in text, the same way everywhere on the site.
- AI crawlers are allowed in, not blocked, and the site publishes an llms.txt file that summarises the business for them.

That should help an assistant suggest you for something like "roofer in Mullingar". Nobody can promise it will. Our guide on [how AI search finds a small business](https://aisites.ie/ai-search-irish-business) explains what assistants look for.

## Common questions

**How much does a website for a builder cost?**
€349 + VAT for up to five pages, which suits most builders, or €249 + VAT for a one-page site. After that, hosting is €156 a year (€13 a month) or €15 a month billed monthly, with small changes included. You see the finished site before you pay anything.

**How long does it take to build?**
48 hours from when you send your details for a site of up to five pages, or 24 hours for a one-page site. Pointing your domain at the new site usually takes a few hours more.

**Can I add photos of new jobs myself?**
Yes. Your login has a simple click-and-type editor for photos and text, so you can add a finished job the day you finish it. If you'd rather not, email the photos to us and we'll add them.

**Do I need professional photos?**
No. The photos on your phone are fine. Send us what you have and we pick the best ones, crop them and size them for the site.

**Can we keep our domain and email?**
Yes. We point your existing domain at the new site and leave your email settings alone, so your email keeps working as it does now. If you don't have a domain yet, we set one up as part of the build.

**What if I only have a Facebook page?**
That's a good place to start. Send us the link and we use your photos and posts as the starting point. Your Facebook page stays as it is, and the new site gives you an address of your own that shows up in Google.

**What happens if we leave?**
The site and the domain are yours. If you move to someone else, we hand over the complete site files and help point the domain wherever you want it. There's no contract to end.
